Confirmation

At Calvary Lutheran Church, Confirmation is a significant milestone in a young Christian’s journey of faith. Our Confirmation program is designed for students in grades 5-7 and focuses on deepening their understanding of Lutheran doctrine, the teachings of the Bible, and their personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Through a combination of classroom instruction, memory work, and active participation in the life of the church, students learn about the six chief parts of the catechism and our faith. Confirmation culminates in a special service where students publicly affirm their faith and become full members of our congregation. Pastor, along with their parents, and our dedicated team of educators support and guide each student throughout this meaningful process, helping them to grow in their spiritual journey and embrace their role in the body of Christ.

Purpose

The focus in Fifth Grade is memory work. As you work on memorization, also complete the matching sheets in the workbook. I will provide videos walking through the sheet each week available on the Calvary webpage.

Reciting Memory Work

Please record your child saying the required memory work by the given due date and text or email it to me. I am also on Marco Polo and you can use that app if you’d like. You can also say them to me in person. You may make an appointment for Saturday morning. I will also be available most Sundays after Bible class.
