Confirmation
At Calvary Lutheran Church, Confirmation is a significant milestone in a young Christian’s journey of faith. Our Confirmation program is designed for students in grades 5-7 and focuses on deepening their understanding of Lutheran doctrine, the teachings of the Bible, and their personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Through a combination of classroom instruction, memory work, and active participation in the life of the church, students learn about the six chief parts of the catechism and our faith. Confirmation culminates in a special service where students publicly affirm their faith and become full members of our congregation. Pastor, along with their parents, and our dedicated team of educators support and guide each student throughout this meaningful process, helping them to grow in their spiritual journey and embrace their role in the body of Christ. Please record your child reciting the required memory work and text or email it to me by the given due date. I am also on Marco Polo, and you can use that app if you’d like. Please feel free to contact the church office for my contact information if you do not have it. If you need to say them in person, you may make an appointment for Saturday morning. I will also be available most Sundays after Bible class.
You are allowed to record and send different memory work pieces separately even if due on the same day. I’ve distinguished separate pieces with a (|). Use an ESV translation for Bible verses. I ask that you work on the memory work in order and do not get too far ahead unless circumstances demand otherwise. If you have an issue or will be late, please call me.
